Always took my 82 year old mom to CORA for rehab Today I'm not happy at all

Surgeon scripted her for 4 weeks of physical therapy 3 times a week. P/T said 2 times a week. I was ok with that.

Went to see surgeon on 2/20/2015 he re ordered her to receive 4 weeks P/T to strengthen improve her ROM/functions/ADL's. I call the CORA office in Davie spoke to Leon, who proceeded to explain that they discharged her and no more P/T was needed.

If a physician orders more P/T. Why are they refusing treatment. I have a new prescription with the orders that above I explained. If Prefered Care a Partners which is her health insurance is approving more P/T why again are they refusing treatment.

I find this quite disturbing that a therapist supersedes a surgeons orders.

Bottom line is the only one who gets the short end of the stick is my 82 year old mother who was doing very well during her treatments and has now regressed with her arm.

I hope that someone can answer my questions because being a Nurse Practitioner myself, I will not stop until my mother gets the treatment she deserves.
